This is Sweet Charlotte, I have been wanting one of these since I saw them on Little Red Caboose's blog and finally remembered an update and there she was waiting for me to spend some of my hard earned christmas bonus cash. She came beautifully packaged and has been hanging out with some beautiful fabrics as you can see. Fabric to the right is going to be my next quilt I am calling gray, blue and green and the fabric to the left is going to be the following quilt out of Anna Maria Horner's Drawing Room line. One of my favorite fabric lines to boot. I made my sister a quilt for christmas out of the Eccentric warm colorway and it is gorgeous. I wanted to get right on making one for me so the separation will be easier but I have lost some of my crafting mojo for now. I am going to have to find it soon because I have a few more christmas gifts to make for exchange in the middle of January but thankfully the rush is over. Hope you are well rested from your holidays and ready for this new year.

Obsession

One small problem that comes with house hunting is the ever growing desire to buy new furniture. And get rid of a lot of what I already have. What is that? Honestly alot actually if not all of it was given to me when I first moved out on my own because others didn't want them anymore, and it is just time to start adding my own stuff to the collection. So I decided to slowly weed out what I can and replace with items that I will love. I am so excited to show you my newest purchase, I am dying to spread the word. I have admired these Tolix chairs since I first saw them a year or so ago in the Sundance Catalog. Figured someday I would break down but for now that was just too much money to spend. I was heart broken when I discovered that Pottery Barn had them over the summer and had placed them on clearance and then was happy to find out that you can now back order them, and at the clearance price. Now I am in search of the dining room table. I really want one made of recycled barn wood and was told of a place around here that makes them pretty cheap. Here is a picture of the chairs that I got:

Speaking of the weekend I am excited to be going a little trip up to Jim Thorpe. It will be beautiful and this is the fall foliage weekend with vendors outside and we are going to a Ghost Story Telling of the Old Jail at night. Hopefully I get some good pictures to share. Things have been really sparse around here but honestly that is what has been going on, pretty much nothing.

I have been so inspired by all the mini quilts and fall patchwork that I have seen on flickr and online that I had to make one for myself. I quickly placed two small fabric orders on etsy for the more fall prints and the rest I pulled from my stash. I decided to sketch out a pattern so things couldn't go to awry. It was a quick and satisfying project from picking the fabrics to the binding. Finally figured out my bias tape maker but learned I had the wrong size late in the game so the binding isn't perfect but I like it learning curves and all.

I realized that it has been a long time since I have done any sort of Giveaway on my blog so I thought in the spirit of fall and fun patchwork I would give out some extra squares that I had left over from my project and some other fall goodies. Just leave a comment and I will pick a winner by next Thursday!

Especially this past weekend, I have caught some horrible bug that is just physically wiping me out. Progess...slow but steady or this may be a painful read

I find myself scatter brained lately. I am unable to focus on things or read complete sentences. I have no clue what it is that is going on in this brain of mine but I hope that things improve. I have been working on quilt No.3, and amazingly No.2 is finished. I can't figure out a good way to take a picture of it though with good sunlight but I am working on that.

This picture shows the progress of No.3 and how it goes from the nine patch to a really pretty blend of small squares and rectangles amongst the larger squares. (wow is this post even making sense haha) You can check out a closer view on my flickr.

Here are the fabrics that I picked for quilt No.4 already. No clue what pattern I plan to make or follow but the fabrics are picked. I am going to call this the "sweet" quilt because that is the word that comes to mind when I look at these fabrics. Any pattern suggestions? Makes me think of my obsession with Hello Kitty and pink and I even used to have a banana seat bike just like the one pictured.

I am very excited about this quilt. I am going to attempt the disappearing 9 patch quilt that has swept the internet and intrigued me. I was determined to use fabrics from my stash and did just that. I even have it all ironed and cut so far. I want to do a little bit of patch work on the back of the quilt too but I haven't sat down to draw that out yet. I just purchased some of Anna Maria Horner's fabric, received Drawing room and I love it and Garden Party should be on its way. I already have plans for the Drawing Room quilt but have no idea what I will do with Garden Party. Other projects on the list are more cube bags, zipper pouch for circular needles, purse and knitting bag. I am going to attempt my first Amy Butler pattern, wish me luck!

Sewing away over here with a little bit of knitting in between. And I finally cleaned off my scrap table and may be in the mood to scrap, watch out. I still need to finish my Summer Breeze quilt that got pushed to the side with all these bags I had to make. I plan on starting the finishing process this week though. I am already trying to figure out what I want my next quilt to be.I am hoping to use up a bit of the ever growing stash so that will be somewhat of a challenge.

what do you think? I am so excited about how soft this one is. I have it all ready to start tying the knots I just don't know when I am going to get around to doing them. I have been busy cleaning up around the apartment and moving things around to make it feel fresh. In doing that I had a yard sale and felt like I sold half my life away and only made $100. I have seriously turned into my Mother and need to stop buying stuff #1 and if I do buy it it better be cheap because I seem to get over stuff way to quickly recently. Not that I want new just that I want to get rid of it or am tired of looking at it. I used to joke to my Mom that if I stood in one spot long enough she might get rid of me, look out Bobby.

Yarn obsession currently is Sundara Yarn. Her colors are gorgeous, just scored some more yesterday too! I have no idea what my first project is going to be with all that I have but I intend on knitting with it instead of hoarding it like my Sister and praying that wool becomes more valuable then the dollar some day.

I will leave you with a little spring. hope everyone is doing well and hope to start making more regular appearances soon, one of my many goals!

i have been everywhere and no where, and that is exactly how I feel.

1. here is one of my current knitting projects i am working on (note the one of because apparently one is not enough and 4 or 5 is more like it).

2. i actually tried to sit down and sew a little last night. ended in a big disappointment, i hate that. i wish the days of drawing my own patterns and just making them would appear again.

3. loving that the weather is getting warmer and it is time for the bug to come out of hibernation.

4. loving trips to philadelphia with my beloved topaz and it didn't rain this time.

5. i actually scrapbooked, two layouts at a get together the other weekend and i started a mini last weekend. all that is done is the cover but it rocks.

6. loving snacks from trader joes; not loving freezed dried bananas what was i thinking?

7. loving the new limerick outlets that are conveniently 15 minutes away from my home

8. loving no cable television and watching all gilmore girls all the time

9. loving that flea market and yard sale season is here.

10. in absolute need of a home makeover and don't know where to begin.

I have fallen off this blogging wagon quite abroptly due mostly to laziness and the fact that I have become an obsessive knitter. I even knit in the kitchen while waiting for water to boil for dinner, I think I have crossed that invisible line. I have no pictures to post at this moment because I am somewhere where I do not have access to my photos (well I would have access if I would be better about uploading my photos on flicker but that is another story). So I decided to post about my current etsy obsessions since I got many compliments over the Scrapbowl weekend about items I had that I had bought on etsy. Speaking of scrapbowl, fabulous weekend with some gorgeous and get down and dirty fun girls. It was so much fun and those pesky 4 hours drives were hilarious! From the slippery seats to Dane to gorging on Godiva and Turtle cheese cake at a rest stop. If there are no scrapping events coming up ladies we should make a road trip and create our own in some random hotel which hopefully is not being renovated.

Although I have been feeling very creative lately but was getting very frustrated. The yarn was crappy, paint wouldn't dry fast enough, no room to work on anything. But finally today I have a had a break through. just about finished knitting my first hat, and finally sewed together all the rows of squares for my quilt. Here are the pics Nat, not even close to your glamorous quilt but I am very relieved that this is finally in the works and not living in a box under my bed like it has been for the last 5 years. I have also been buying more fabric for some projects. Cloth blocks and a bib for my friends baby boy.

Also hoping to knit him some little thumb-less mittens. And also bought a ton of yarn to hopefully conquer my first afghan. I think I am going to crochet this one though not sure how fun it would be to knit one, little bulky. So many things so little time. I have been coming across allot of really inspiring blogs lately and loving it. Makes me want to do even more. I am slowing trying to add them to the side bar as I go. Well I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!

growing up remember when you would picture what you wanted/or thought your life would be like? Your home, your favorite things, your clothes, etc. Have you ever taken a moment to sit back and look to see if you are in all those things you dreamed of? I am constantly looking at my life and only seeing bits and pieces of what I wanted. Other pieces have just found their way in out of convenience or cost or dare I say laziness? That really gets to me. I am hoping that this year more things will start falling into the dreamed of pile and not the laziness pile. what do you wish you had from your dreamed of pile?

My sister and I baked 5 batches of cookies yesterday and today I feel like crap, I think it is from eating to much cookie dough. And of course today after eating a some what healthy breakfast I have eaten mostly cookies so that is just making things so much better, ugh. Some day I will learn. I have been in a crafty mood lately. Started my Christmas cards but of course did not finish them, did a little scrapbooking with no pictures (yet) so nothing much to look at, and a little sewing. I am in the mood to craft but I think I am more in the mood to go shopping for stuff to work with when I have a ton of new stuff here that I could be working on. Apparently it is one of those battling with yourself day. I wish I could just settle on one thing.
This is the last scarf that I have to get done for Christmas. Still have a few knitting projects that are going to be Christmas presents but I don't have to worry about exchanging until January or February so I have time (for now).

This nosy guy is patiently waiting to be packed up and sent to his new owner. Another goal for today which should happen unless I give in to going shopping.

Really wishing I could be content like he is sitting down doing ONE thing and not thinking of a million. As you can also see I should be putting laundry away, finish wrapping and straighten up the living room. Ah always tomorrow.

Had such a great weekend! Went to visit Natalie in Maryland. Lots of shopping in stores I have only ever seen in catalogs, ate yummy Chinese food, and had way too much fun in a photo booth in Chuck E Cheese. A must do again sometime!

I bought this Jewelry tree at Urban Outfitters in Maryland, I love how it looks so pretty for something so simple.

It is snowing here today! This is so exciting, not the stick to the ground kind yet but it is still nice to see snow. It has been quite the lazy weekend. Had time for a bit of shopping. Scored an adorable pair of red flats and a deep Fiesta ware bowl in cobalt to add to our collection. Scrapbooked a little yesterday and then worked some more on christmas scarves as we watched Transformers last night. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Finally finished my little album. I really like how it turned out , I am loving this 4x4 size all over again. Got a lot of inspiration from Miss Kristi's Layouts for Story of My Life Kits this month. I don't know why but this year I am really looking forward to the holidays coming soon. I am in the mood for a new beginning, a drastic change, something and maybe that is why I am pushing for it. I am working like mad on knitting some of my Christmas presents. I will have to post some pictures of the ones that are for people who I know don't read my blog.

Pre-ordered this puppy today. I am in love. I am looking forward to cutting it up already at the end of the year to use in a mini album of some sorts. Or maybe I will make a running year album him, the wheels are finally starting to turn. I am not usually a calendar person but have been really inspired by quite a few this year so I decided to make a purchase. I love letterpress!

Totally went crazy last night on this website buying yarn. My next project is going to be a Shoulder wrap, something that I can wear to work over a long sleeve shirt. I decided to go with this color for the wrap and then bought this color to make either a skinny scarf or a thick neck warmer. This yarn is so soft and beautifully hand dyed. I can't wait to see the colors that I picked in person.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to post pictures of my mini album from our weekend.

Can't believe that one year has already gone by since we got married it really doesn't feel like it has been that long and then some days it does. We had a really fun weekend just driving and ending up in Jim Thorpe, going shopping and just being together. Can't wait to get started on a mini album about our 1st year and 1st anniversary. I think I will be working on that this weekend when I go to visit Miss Morgan at her store. Hope your weekends were fun now that the rain has stopped.

Etsy update

Ok the new etsy store is now up and running. Still have to load more stuff but for some reason my computer kept losing signal right when I tried to upload my pictures. Very tired over here for some reason. Trying to de-clutter your life is very tiring for some reason. I through out so much stuff tonight I am amazed. Mostly trash some boxes of packaging that I felt the need to keep that I might turn into wrapping of presents some how but never had in the few years that I have had this junk. I feel a little better now, I can walk into my one closet again. Ugh.

Vintage find of the week yummy buttery yellow drawer with the coolest pull ever and love the place where I can put a label. Can't wait to fill it with hmmm.

Oh yeah also finished knitted my first scarf. It is a little thick because it rolled (need to learn how to stop that, anyone know?) but I still love all the colors and hey for my first one I am pleased! Now if I could only find the knit or die t-shirt that Lorelei wore on Gilmore Girls in that episode of the all day knitting! I am addicted, am I going to through out all of my scrapbook stuff??? hell no why do people keep asking me that though, I can have two hobbies!

Ok people I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed right now with how much junk I seem to accumulate. Yes I know I am a pack rat in a manner of speaking, I like to think of my self more along the lines of a recycler. Why throw that perfectly good shoelace out, yes there may be only one but I know if I sew a drawstring bag someday it will come in handy. Now 5 years later still have the shoelace but no drawstring bag. I’m thinking I have a problem. Lol. So to help me clear through some of this clutter I am doing a mass RAK of sorts. Hopefully this won’t get ugly, nothing mean towards you but if I run out of something I am sorry. I am just going to have to go on a first come first serve basis and hopefully I can accommodate everyone.
Most of the following items I have collected from thrift stores and yard sales so some things are a tad yellowed or bent but hey that just shows their story right? Some items I only have a few of some I have a lot of. I will try to post my quantity to let you know. If there is a certain amount of something you have to have just let me know and I will try to do my best. The strings/threads I will send you one yard unless other wise requested.

Rotary cards: I have about 250 of these to go around.

Spines: There is about 100 of these. Unfortunately they do not have the arms that go through this piece to create the closure, I only just noticed this now. Not sure what can be done with them but maybe someone has an idea?

Brown wax thread: This is a thin brown thread that seams to have a little wax coating but not much at all. It is definitely heavy duty compared to sewing thread.

Pink wax thread: This is a heavy waxed thread as you can see it is bendable. Fairly thick in diameter too.

Playing cards: These are from an old Lotto game. There is not many of these to go around.

Blue thread: Thin blue ribbon, not sure what this would be used for, is not elastic.

Vintage dictionary pages: I have a bunch of old dictionary pages that are bit yellowed and torn out.

Paper bags:
I have a bunch of paper bags left over from my wedding invitations. They are hardware store strength and a bit larger then your average paper lunch bag.

First of all how do you smell whiff i mean spell? Nat its one of those words that just don't look right. Any way driving home from shopping at the Promenade tonight and I could smell burning leaves it was great. I am so ready for sweater weather bring it on please. Went shopping tonight for my Husband's birthday this weekend and totally spent more money on myself opps. I just couldn't find what I wanted to get him. But I think I have finally found my new fragrance, hopefully this one will last (and won't end up getting associated with bad memories). Its Rosewood from Banana Republic and it comes in this wicked wooden box. (No I did not buy it for the box ... although it was definately a deciding factor)

I so was ready to buy a purse too but just got some really soft tank tops. I may have to go back there this weekend since I am going to be up in the area.
I got my KC Collection from SIStv today. I love it and the papers so much I think I should have bought 2. Can't wait until this weekend SIStv Crop. I have some new pictures to scrap and tons to work with and I think I know not to pack so much this time so it won't take so many trips from the car!

Awesome weekend...

Well first of all I had no idea how much attention this little guy would get but lets just say he was certainly the center of attention at this weekend's crop. It was very cool to get together with some familiar faces Kristi, Nicole, Morgan, and Breanne and also meeting some adorable new faces too, Vee and Natalie. I can not believe how much I actually got done on Saturday. I will definitely have to post some layouts! I was so intimated by the 10 hour time frame but can not say I was stuck for any long period of time. I solely think that was because of all the amazing creative women I was around. These women are so inspiring. Can't wait to get together again!
Well the cat has been let out of the bag. My Husband has been acting completely strange the past couple days. He was asking me all sorts of questions about where I was going to be on Saturday and how did he get there and was he allowed in side (that one cracked me up the most) well apparently his plan to surprise me Saturday did not pan out but today when I came home from work I found this in my parking spot.

I have been, well we have been lusting after this vintage '63 bug when we first found out about it a month ago. But we were trying to be rational and blah blah blah. Well I have definitely learned once my Husband sets his mind to something there is no stopping him. He really wanted to surprise me in front of the girls on Saturday (more likely for him to get the attention:) but today was just as good. I totally had a "what did you do" face while driving up and he was of course taking pictures because he is good like that. As soon as I got out of my truck he was like "Happy Anniversary" ,this is so much better then a diamond ring! We plan on this being our road trip cruiser. Now all I have to learn to do is drive a stick! Piece of cake...right?

I got the new dare book and am loving every minute of it. These girls are so talented and real I am breathless. The first dare of course was perfect fitting for this mood I am in which I hope breaks soon I can't take another morning waking up a 2:30 am with nothing but fear. Here is my layout... and I actually did a 12x12 which I think in my whole scrapping life I have done maybe 5 total. I just didn't want to cut this paper I really liked it. Plus going through all my stuff for the MLPA yard sale I just feel that I need to try them to use up some of this paper love I have. I like it not my favorite but I like it. I think I may even try another. Totally stole the photo idea from Gigi, she has some of the coolest self portraits I just had to try it.

Thank you all for your warm and fuzzy thoughts because I after the interview from the twilight zone I went on an interview the next day and was hired to start 3 days later. It has been a hectic week but this job seems like it was worth the searching and the waiting for. So thank you again!
Well on to the more important things (haha). I received my goodies from Candice! I am so much in love. They are adorable and I can not wait to use them!! Candice rocks if you haven't check out her etsy shop you are missing out.

My Sister who doesn't even get the whole scrapbooking thing even wants some. Speaking of my sister she crochets and she just opened up an etsy shop too. She makes the most adorable pumpkins for fall. They are so cute to set out and soft. She taught me how to crochet the other weekend and I finally sat down and got the hang of it some what. It only took my 4 hours to make a wash cloth but hey I did it. And I think I got the hang of it because I want to make more. We went shopping yesterday and stocked up on some really pretty yarn to make scarves and coffee cup cozies with. I also got some awesome paints and a 12x12 frame to play with. Its so much more fun to have my creative juices (and money) flowing again. Searching for a job that you can tolerate is so draining!

I participated in this swapjack on Red Velvet and I was paired with a really awesome lady, Rose! She sent me this rocking package all enclosed in this adorable suitcase which I have been lusting after these and she didn't even know. I loved everything! I have been looking for a good white pen since my sharpie blew up on me(and my layout) and she sent me one that she swears by! Interviews from the Twilight Zone and an rak for luck

It is either a really bad market out there or I am finding all of the crazies. I followed up an ad in the paper for a clerical position went in for an interview and ended being practically sexually harassed by a married man who thought I wouldn't notice him moving his wedding ring to a different finger??? what the &$#@??? Then proceeded to inform me that he was interviewing me for a Lab tech job and asking me questions like have I ever worked with animals and am I squeamish?? ok did we not just go over my resume and talk about all clerical positions or was he just listening to my boobs. I guess the real question is why the heck did I not just get up and walk out. I am not that desperate for money (maybe I am since I stayed) no no not that desperate! That pretty much shot my luck for this day hopefully tomorrow's interview will go much better please start the prayer chain because I truly feel like I am needing it right about now.
On to happier things. Can't wait to get my Label Tulip kit for August!!! I am so excited about that! I have been playing with a few layouts but still not happy with all of them but starting to feel the creative flow come back. Here they are...

I just feel that they are a little plain. I own so many goodies but for some reason couldn't think of anything else to put on these pages. Speaking of little goodies I would like to do a small rak. I ordered these little tags off of etsy and they are so adorable and they give you so many in a bag I want to give some away, and maybe some other flat items that will fit in an envelope. Had some awesome Thrift Store finds yesterday. This vintage goose neck lamp in this awesome marbled green color. I could not leave it. It has a little rust and its original wiring which looks to be good still. I have been wanting a lamp for my scrap table and this one wanted to be the one. I also got this acrylic recipe box, which even flips up and holds a recipe card. I thought this would be perfect for holding Ali EdwardsDaily something project or for an altered deck of cards. And then the card board suitcase I have been wanting to purchase one to house our Honeymoon album and the other items I brought back to keep so with I little paint and paper I think this baby will be perfect. Plus I got all of this stuff for $6.00 can't beat that.
I really haven't been in a creative mood lately. Not sure why just focusing on finding a job right now I guess. I hope that changes soon because I do miss creating. I think its time for an inspirational trip to the beach!

This is our first home album. I haven't decided where I want to do my journaling yet hence the reason there is none. Its either going to be the back of the photos hidden in the pockets or on the back of the pocket. I finally got my groove back and have finished a few projects that got pushed aside. I am not quite finished Kristi's Kit for the Happiness is album. I need more pictures for that one and have not really been having any life moments that render pictures I guess. Unless I should capture my shopping, scrapping and watching all Gilmore Girls episodes in order currently on season 4.

Yes this is the inside of my fridge and yes that is 2 bottles of ketchup you see because you cannot be without ketchup when you have a ketchup loving fiend in your household. Usually we have the carnival size ketchup but that was taking up most of my fridge and I have been to the carnival stock store to buy one recently haha. Why didn't I just name this post ketchup ok enough about that I don't want people to think that I am crazy.

This is the current project I am working on this is my "HIM" album all about my husband. I want to add pictures of him when he is little and everything but I am waiting for his mom to resurrect them. So far I have done all play and no journaling but I enjoyed doing the journaling last on Kristi's albums after I took her classes so that is my plan this time.
Well lets see what else to say just got back from Oc, Nj loved it but was alone most of the time because no one was able to be with me. Totally made out on Hello Kitty Products at one of the shops on the Boardwalk she was asking me if I was buying all this stuff for my daughter and I was like no its all for ME. Turns out she is the Hello Kitty fan and she has a son! New found friend. I heart Hello Kitty, i got three charms to put on my 7Gypsies bracelet, Secret agent Badtz-Maru sticky notes, Cinnamon Roll skate boarding stationary more pirate Hello Kitty and My Melody pack of fun (she was my original favorite was I was little) and more stamps I am officially broke because of Sanrio but it is all worth it. haha. I even got this pink container at the thrift store that is designated to the current Hello Kitty products of the time. Love it.

I had a wonderful day of shopping the other day. Tried a new boutique Frox in Perkasie love it! Very pretty jewelry and clothes and of course purses. I have been fantasizing about a navy blue and green wallet which I still hear calling my name. I think I may have to go back and say hell to saving money for a house I want a new wallet to join in with the other 15 or so that I own. I just sold one at a yard sale so I can buy another right? Yes that is total justification. Well then its decided must go back. By the way love this tote that I got thanks to the influences of

I had such an awesome weekend. Kristina's classes were absolutely amazing. I am so glad that I had that opportunity, her classes are so inspiring. I have ordered from Paper Source twice now to get envelopes and labels to make more albums with the same approach. I can't wait to get them and also I can't wait to get her kit that I preordered!! I also met some really amazing women, Gigi, Nicole, Breanne, and Morgan. You guys are awesome and do some amazing work. I hope we all can hook up again some time to scrap or shop or both.

The winds of change are upon us. I didn't feel them coming this time so I just hope that we made the right decision. Those of you who know me know of Bobby's venture on his own with his Auto Detailing business, I was still working an 8-5 dead end job hating every minute of it. I thought changing environments would help but things got even worse. When things started getting too hard to deal with we decided the best decision for me was to let it go. I hope it was the best. Life is more important then money sometimes and right now that is what we need to focus on. Today is my second day as a stay at home wife and things aren't too bad. Got a lot of cleaning done yesterday it is so nice to have a clean sink every morning and still have done what you wanted to do. But alas now the hell hole is upon me and "I just don't want to". This is our catch all room, actually the master bedroom but thought it would be so much better for my stuff and his. Now it seems to house all of my "will get to's" and is very overwhelming.

I would so rather be scrapbooking although that is in that room and since I am avoiding that room that isn't getting done either. So I am hanging out in the clean rooms for now. This room seriously looks like a Mission Organization show waiting to happen.

My hubby thinks we should get rid of the bed since we have only had one house guest in the course of the 2 years that we have been here but I don't understand why we would get rid of a perfectly good mattress when we will end up needing one in time any way. Any suggestions or motivation you can float my way is much appreciated!! Well happy Tuesday! I leave you with this...

Lovin' the Lime

I am currently obsessed with the color lime, chartreuse what ever tickles your fancy because this color is really tickling mine right now. I think it is all thanks to Kristina and her kit that she is selling off of her blog. Looks totally cool and I know she loves green and I am seeing lots of it. I went through this phase a few years ago too bought the cutest lime green purse definitely have to dig that out. Had some guy want to fight me for this purse and was like following me around Macy's silently begging me to put it down, needless to say I won. Also Topaz I am sure you remember this, the non-existent Lime green Dress/Suit that I had full intentions on finding a wearing to a wedding moons ago. Non-existent because after about 10 hours of shopping and how ever many stores later it was not found. Although much shopping was to be had. My first Mac Lipstick, ahh the memories. Note: the lipstick was not lime green in color. Any way I just placed an order at Paper Source and everything just so happened to be green in color, very inspiring. I will have to take a picture when everything comes.

Bobby has decided that we are going to take a "road trip" every other Sunday, so I have stuff to scrap and we are doing something together other then sitting on the couch or grocery shopping. This weekend he surprised me and took me to Crystal Cave in Kutztown. I missed that field trip when I was little because of having scarlet fever. It was pretty cool and we took a lot of good pictures. I am so excited to start a new scrapbook on Road Trips. Last month's project kit from Jenni Bowlin was kind of about that so I have the stuff to get it in the works already with out buying something else rock on. I have been on a bit of a spending spree with the new line of Martha Stewart Products at Michael's and all the new kit clubs coming out. Plus just got a whole bunch new swarovski's crystals from jewelry supply and new papers from Rouge de Garance and I got the "WE" words rub ons from fontwerks like my "I" words. I thought that would be a fun album to do about Bobby and I and get him to do some journaling maybe too! My Dad finally finished making my shelf I am so happy with the way it turned out. I got all the baskets at Target and I have to say it is looking pretty good. I am still working on the organizing part though that seems like a never ending battle. Now the fun part, I would like to do a giveaway to my mad friends that read my blog. It is going to consist of a bottle of that gorgeous MM Bordeaux paint I am obssessed with and a few other small goodies. I was shopping the other weekend and after telling myself not to buy anymore lotions or potions for the skin I of course ran into a sale at Bath and Body works that I couldn't turn down. I love C.O. Bigelow's products, the packaging and everything speaks old world to me and I can not resist it. I was so excited to find some of there new products or new to me products for men, a line called Bay Rum, smells so yummy and reminds me of Jamaica where my Hubby and I went on our Honeymoon. I also am in love with their Lemon Hand soap and hand cream. Oh and their lip glosses I guess I could go on and on. It's good stuff though. And the packaging is so inspiring!!!

I was inspired by a blog I was reading yesterday for this post. I am actually currently working on a mini album titled "quietly going mad about everything" in which it will hold all of my loves from lipsticks to people. I am a collector of everything, even Starbucks napkins that I think are inspiring and so I want to make this book a place to keep some of that stuff instead of all over my house. And in all honestly it started with this little bottle of paint. Who would have known, but yet again it is me we are talking about. Well I bought this paint a while ago because it was gorgeous and now I am buying everything in that color. Lipsticks, eye shadows, paper, ribbon, fabric I am obsessed but completely in love so that is all that matters. I will have to upload the front cover of my book later I am pleased with it. The book actually housed another half done project that I ripped off to start this one. This one is satisfying me so far so I think it will make the cut.

i have always hated Monday's for no particular reason, maybe because of The Bangles. I guess I just feel that I turn around and it is Monday once again. I stayed home pretty much all day yesterday. scrapped a little and then sat down to think about what I wanted to do and wasted about 6 hours just doing that. how does that happen? that darn TV and couch just suck me in every time. I think I am at another creative slump which is ok I get in those. I used up the rest of my energies creating this which is gorgeous and was actually excepted to view on the Basic Grey gallery!! but as of that i am spent. hope you had a good Monday i am back to moping :)

Just a quick update. I found out about the doll hanger from Jenni Bowlin's kits that I subscribe too and then she posted where you can find them so of course I had to order more. You can get them at character constructions under accessories. They are the French Laundry Hangers...adorable.

The Honeymoon album is finally finished I am so excited and very pleased with the way it turned out. I actually still have to go through and but some more journaling and embellishments I am so happy that it finally is in one piece and hopefully no pieces are missing because who knows where they are in my scrap nook. I plan on having a clean surface and laying all the embellishments out in front of me and go page to page to finish it up. We shall see how long it takes me to accomplish that one. I think I am just really looking forward to starting a new project, which I think is going to be my new 9x9 heidi swapp naked album. I am not one to do 12x12 I think i have a bakers dozen if that but I do love that a scrapbook like that doesn't have to be something that goes in order but just tells a story on one page about your life and the next page can move on to a completely different event. Very different from the mini albums which is all I do right now. Very eager to start something new!!

it snowed this past sunday and I am so happy to finally get some snow pictures of Bobby and I. Although I have no clue what he was doing with the camera because the ones of me didn't turn out the greatest but at least they exist for now. Also I am so excited because today is march 1st and my first membership kit from jenni bowlin is on its way. I woke up last night thinking about it because I am crazy! I of course had to buy the extras and the paper kit. it is beautiful blue. also got some goodies from papier valise today too. I am looking forward to a vegging weekend this weekend. not sure if it is going to happen but i am trying to convince myself that it will. I feel like going thrifting again though. I did that last weekend and had a blast. seemed like i came across so many things that i was looking for. i tried taking some pictures of the stuff I got but they didn't turn out so i will take them in the daylight and post them.

life has been crazy. in a nut shell. ca was great it was definitely an awesome and overwhelming experience. the worst part about it was shopping for things you could not buy what a concept haha. any way I am going to attempt to blog faithfully well hopefully at least once a week and then upload pictures later. that might help with my motivation to actually follow through with things. what made me excited to post was my new obsession for the week www.jennibowlin.com she has the coolest kits and stuff. I already purchased her vintage papers and red journaling spots and a hodge podge junque kit which my hubby is supposed to pick up today from the post office. another christmas has come and gone. our first christmas to be exact. working on the christmas scrapbook and i am actually starting to get sick of it. I really want it to be done so I can start the voyage of the honeymoon book and wedding journal. those days will come soon enough. Charis' wedding is coming up in three weeks, very exciting. i teach my first class at the scrapbook store on the 27th and then off to CHA in CA on the 28th this month is craziness it will be valentines day before I know it. need to start taking more journaling pictures, well pictures that I could make a scrapbook out of. I started taking pictures of the really neat old doorknobs in our apartment I have to think of something to do with that. any suggestions??

I got to go on a shopping spree this weekend with my hubby. intentions were totally to finish christmas shopping which we did accomplish but i also ended up coming home with wicked yummy smells from Body Shop (remember Topaz?) cool free stuff from Origins and soft clothes from H&M. but the real reason why I am so spoiled is because my honey let me get an awesome apple lap top that was on sale!!! i am typing on it right now and totally think i am in love. eventually we will go wireless but for now this will do.

Was originally going to be for a gift but I am thinking that I have to keep it because its gorgeous and I am so sure that I will find something on the black apple etsy shop to go into it. also the mirror that was a dollar store find for yes you guessed for you a dollar. it was gold now is this gorgeous black so curious what else i own or will find that may meet its blackened destiny. seriously this is not the depression speaking or at least i don't think so.

I didn't really get good pictures of the tree but I tried. I think that my camera is dying, or I don't really know how to use it one or the other.

Its called our Left Over Wedding tree with a few additions haha. I love it though. I tried to add gold streamers but it really didn't look right so I used up ribbon left over. Looks wonky but cute. It looks really good lit up in person. I have been crafting away but not really taking pictures which isn't good. I have to work on that.

I have been struggling with myself recently. I think that it all boils down to the fact that I am just not happy with my job. I want to do something that I enjoy not just something that I am good at. I am tired of feeling like a monkey and being treated like one. I want substance, I want accomplishment. Why does happiness not pay off though??? I get home and all I want to do is sleep and I could I am actually mentally worn out. I try to clean or work on something and I just can't focus and then I want to scream. It is totally effecting "married life" now and that sucks but what can you do at least he understands. what makes this go away??? at least I still have humor I kept playing the mime fron cirque de soliel that pulls his guts out when he dies to Bobby last night then crashed and got cuddled as I cried.

happy turkey day everybody!! i can't wait to eat eat eat. I am waiting for one of the desserts to finish cooking now. totally excited about our new bedding. actually the only new edition is the beautiful quilted coverlet. can't decide what color to call it I should have looked at the package but I didn't. goes very well with everything else and the man loves it too so that is a big plus... i even got permission to buy the sheets that match the coverlet when the go on sale again at kohl's. if they are half as soft as the coverlet i may never leave my bed. well good night for now, going to go enjoy my new bed!

i am so excited to finally have time to start creating all these crazy ideas that have been going through my head. I finished my love letters box to hold all of Bobby's love letters from when we were dating (i say that because I haven't gotten any in the past 6 months or so :) I started a christmas plaque I guess you would call it trying to immitate ali's holiday crafts picture. I also started a new album that I haven't even decided what is going in there and I also am working on another project that I might even be teaching as a class to Inspired Treasures in the up coming future. Oh and I also made a christmas wreath today. Man I was busy, didn't get much cleaning done though oh well tomorrow is another day.

the baby talk

I am so excited we had the "baby" talk!!! We decided to start trying to have a baby in about 6 months... 6 months is not a long time to have to wait..ahhh. I am so excited you have no idea! little shirts and hats and shoes and kisses and snuggles and screaming and crying but I want to have it all! I really need to start getting my creative juices flowing and start making some money off of that so I am on a roll and ready for anything that may come.
This set is sooo cute I am going to try to refrain from starting to buy stuff already but it is so darn cute and to be totally honest I already own a few things hehe. Now I just have to convince someone else to get knocked up with me. Charis and John are going to start trying right away so maybe we can be pregnant together. That would be so cute!

Topaz has left the building

Topaz went back home yesturday. She made it safe and sound. She would text me to let me know where she was I kept picturing a little green car driving down a map of the us, totally gave me an idea for a scrapbook! I miss her so much already. I had so much fun shopping and hanging out all day saturday just like we used to every saturday back in the day. Sniff sniff. This is life leading us in extrodinary paths.
